Our EFL students enjoy a customised programme which includes a variety of activities to make their visit memorable. The programme includes visits to the Palace Pier in Brighton, mini-golf in the charming village of Rottingdean with breathtaking views of the English Channel, and bowling at the Brighton Marina . We also take our students on many historic visits, which give them an insight into Britain’s past. There’s a full-day trip to the Battle Abbey in Hastings where they can relive the Norman Invasion of 1066 and take a tour around the battlefield. Our students also visit Lewes Castle, one of the oldest castles in England, and the House of Anne of Cleves. Other fun and sociable activities include our disco night and barbecue evening. |
Highgate Academy along with class lectures provides students with hands-on experience in the form of field trips to places of interest to supplement their learning experience. Typically our hospitality students visit a range of hotels from five-star properties to country manor homes. Some of these include the Brighton Thistle, The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne, South Lodge Hotel, The National East Sussex and the Shelleys in Lewes. These field trips allow our students to meet and talk with highly trained professionals within the hospitality sector. Apart from hotel visits, our students also visit vineyards and food markets around the South of England. Through these visits our students gain vital information from these trips and enjoy them immensely. |
